Talk on Sports Medicine at Mayflower College, Brisée Verdière

The 10th edition of the Sports Medicine project was held on Wednesday 08 July 2009 at Mayflower College at Brisée Verdière.
A First Aid kit, an Ice Box and booklets on Sports Medicine were donated to the college.
Talk on Sports Medicine was carried out and 110 students of Forms I , II and Prevoc attended the workshop in the presence of Mr. Dhiraj Singh Khamajeet and Mr. P. Jhummun, Chairman and Managing Secretary of the Mauritius Sports Council respectively.
The lecturers and themes were:
- Mrs. Nandita Ramawta, Nutritionist, posted at Flacq Hospital - "NUTRITION " &
- Dr. Khemraj Dassyne, Sports Medical Officer of the Sports Medical Unit - "LES BIENFAITS DES EXERCICES PHYSIQUES".
A quiz was held with questions related to the talks on Sports Medicine and the winners are Sorenza Théophile, Delphine Quincy, Caroline Jacques, Vanessa Abel and Jessiben Lagamelle. They were offered t shirts as gift by the Mauritius Sports Council.

Dear members of the Sports family, you have in hand what I consider to be a vital communication tool. The aim behind the website is to create a link within the Mauritian Sports Community. It’s also an opportunity for me to pay tribute to all these benevolent who serve our sport, year in and year out. I seize this opportunity to inform all our partners that the Mauritius Sports Council has moved a step forward and that we are now ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Members of the Sports Community, rest assured that the Mauritius Sports Council is doing its utmost to plan, coordinate and promote competitive and healthy recreational sports through financial, administrative and service assistance. These being the MSC vision and objectives.
Without the precious collaboration of each and everyone from the Mauritian Sports family it is impossible for the MSC to achieve its vision and objectives. I graciously thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports, all our stakeholders, and all our sponsors for their fruitful collaboration.
