Talk on Sports Medicine at Unity College, Rose Belle

The 2nd edition of the Sports Medicine project was held on Wednesday 04 March 2009 at the Unity College, Rose Belle.
A First Aid kit, an Ice Box and a booklet on Sports Medicine were donated to the college.
Talk on Sports Medicine was carried out and 130 Students of Forms I attended the workshop. The lecturers and the themes were:
Mrs. Chureetur , Nutritionist posted at J. Nehru Hospital at Rose Belle - "NUTRITION POUR LES ATHLETES" and Dr. Khemraj Dassyne, Sports Medical Officer - "EXERCICE PHYSIQUE ET SANTE".
A quiz was held with questions related to the talks on Sports Medicine and the winners are Sharwin Pentadu, Abhishek Sobna,
Pallavi Chengadu and Poovalen Rengadoo . They were offered t-shirts as gift by the Mauritius Sports Council.
Every student who participated in the workshop was offered a booklet on Sports Medicine.

Dear members of the Sports family, you have in hand what I consider to be a vital communication tool. The aim behind the website is to create a link within the Mauritian Sports Community. It’s also an opportunity for me to pay tribute to all these benevolent who serve our sport, year in and year out. I seize this opportunity to inform all our partners that the Mauritius Sports Council has moved a step forward and that we are now ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Members of the Sports Community, rest assured that the Mauritius Sports Council is doing its utmost to plan, coordinate and promote competitive and healthy recreational sports through financial, administrative and service assistance. These being the MSC vision and objectives.
Without the precious collaboration of each and everyone from the Mauritian Sports family it is impossible for the MSC to achieve its vision and objectives. I graciously thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports, all our stakeholders, and all our sponsors for their fruitful collaboration.
