The Mauritius Sports Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth & Sports and under the sponsorship of Panagora Marketing Co. Ltd organised the Yoplait / Candia Sports Medicine Programme at Renaissance College at Curepipe on Wednesday 12th June 2019 in the presence of:
- Mrs. Shadhana Mohonee, Rector of the institution;
- teachers and staff of the institution;
- Resource person and supporting staff of the Mauritius Sports Council
The objectives of the talks are to make the students aware of the benefits of Sports, proper physical activities and a good nutrition for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
An Ice Box, a First Aid Kit and Sports Equipment were offered to the Institution for use. A poster and a flyer on sensitization program were remitted to a student, Sophie Jolicoeur. Same will be distributed to all the students.
The Resource Person proceeded with the talks as follows:
Good nutrition and the Importance of Physical Activities presented by Dr. Bernard Baptiste.
140 participants attended the talks.
A quiz was held with questions related to the talks on Sports Medicine at the end of the programme. Owen Rachel answered correctly the questions and was offered a T- shirt as prize.
At the end of the talk, Candia Milk were offered to the entire institution.
